What we do

The Alfred Stewart Trust is a charitable organisation dedicated to funding impactful medical research and other charitable endeavours across Scotland.

Our commitment extends beyond financial support, reaching into the heart of the Dunfermline area, where we actively give back to local events and projects for the greater good of our community.

Funding medical research

The Trust is a major source of funding for the Scottish Photodynamic Therapy Centre (SPDTC) at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. Here, world-leading care and groundbreaking research unfold, importantly in the treatment of specific cancer types.

Supporting community events

In addition to its medical contributions, the Alfred Stewart Trust has proudly supported a number of community events in the Dunfermline area. The Trust founder played a key role in launching the Bruce Festival, and our support extends to community-led festivals such as the Touch Festival and Dunfermline Live.

SUPPORTING DUNFERMLINE

These sponsorships aren’t just about financial assistance; they’re about stimulating growth and vitality in Dunfermline. By championing events that bring people together, the Trust is not only nurturing a sense of community but also helping Dunfermline flourish as a destination in its own right.

We Find & Fund

We are in search of opportunities to help as many youth as possible. We approach and fund all those in need.

We Provide Care

Today’s youth need a helpful hand and right guidance at every stage. Here’s where we take care of them.

We Build Schools

We run small-scale schools for the underprivileged children and youth of daily wage workers for a better future.
